This is the hilarious moment a bungling motorcycle rider tried to ride up a plank into a truck but ended up falling into a ditch.

The motorist was attempting to mount his green scooter onto the back of the flatbed lorry when he lost balance and toppled into a dyke outside his home in Anhui, China.

CCTV footage shows him tilting a plank from the ground to the truck as a makeshift ramp on September 10.

After driving the scooter out of his compound, he made two failed attempts to load it before a third disastrous try.

He can be seen tipping sideways mid-climb and fell along with the bike. The hapless rider then rolled into a muddy trench, crashing into the bushes.

He did not sustain any serious injuries from the comical mishap.
