VARIOUS OF DETAIS FROM IBRAHIMI MOSQUE / ISRAELI FLAGS WAVING ON MOSQUE / CHECKPOINTS AROUND MOSQUE HEBRON, PALESTINE - SEPT. 30: The Israeli army imposed a curfew on several neighborhoods in the city of Hebron on Tuesday, Sept. 30, citing the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur. Arif Jaber, a member of the Hebron Defense Committee, said the military closed off parts of the city from 6 a.m., barring Palestinians from leaving their homes and forcing shopkeepers to shut businesses. He said residents were told the curfew would remain in place until Thursday, Oct. 2. The restrictions cover the neighborhoods of Wadi al-Hasin, Jaber and al-Salaymeh, home to about 25,000 people and connecting the Ibrahimi Mosque to nearby Jewish settlements. The army also ordered the closure of the Ibrahimi Mosque for three days during the holiday.
