France, Norway, and Finland deployed deployed a joint armed forces detachment to Denmark as part of its counter-drone efforts. Authorities also banned civilian drone operations for a week during the informal EU leaders’ meeting. Leaders from the EU states meet for an informal summit in the Danish capital Copenhagen. The main agenda of the meeting focuses on supporting Ukraine and strengthening European common defense. The summit takes place following reports of suspicious drone activity in the airspace of EU countries such as Poland, Romania, and Norway. In response to these developments, the EU is working on an initiative called the “Drone Wall,” aimed particularly at reinforcing air defense.
