The Vivint security camera captured a tense moment outside our home. My teenage daughter had been in the driveway, carefree and focused on playing soccer, completely unaware that her brother was due to be dropped off by a friend. As she dribbled and kicked the ball, a truck suddenly appeared at the end of the street and began to slowly approach.

At first, she froze, confused by the unfamiliar vehicle creeping closer. But when the truck turned and started pulling directly into our driveway, panic set in. Instinctively, she bolted—her feet pounding against the pavement as she sprinted toward the garage. Even in her fear, she glanced back, lifted the soccer ball, and with a quick, desperate motion hurled it at the oncoming truck, completely missing the target.

Her adrenaline carried her straight into the garage, where she darted inside, slammed the door shut, and pressed the button to lower the garage door behind her, sealing herself in safety… all that to realize it was JUST HER BROTHER getting dropped off.
