INJURED CIVILIAN LAYING ON HIS BEDALEPPO, SYRIA - OCT. 6, 2025: A cease-fire agreement took effect on Tuesday, Oct. 7, in the Ashrafiyya and Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhoods of Aleppo, Syria, following fierce clashes between Syrian security forces and the PKK/YPG group, which operates in Syria under the name SDF. Earlier in the day, a civilian was injured in clashes between the PKK/YPG terror group, operating under the name SDF, and Syrian security forces in Aleppo, Syria. The injured civilian was taken to Razi Hospital for treatment, local sources said. On March 10, the Syrian presidency announced an agreement to integrate the SDF into state institutions, stressing the country’s territorial integrity and rejecting any separatist agenda. However, the organization has violated the agreement more than once. Since the ouster of Bashar al-Assad last December after 24 years in power, the Syrian government has stepped up security measures. Assad fled to Russia, marking the end of the Ba'ath Party’s rule since 1963. A transitional administration headed by President Ahmed Al-Sharaa took office in January.
