The strike is set to commence on the morning of October 14, 2025, at 7 a.m. and will conclude on October 19, 2025, at 7 a.m. (Pacific Time). Union leadership has explained that the decision to strike followed unsuccessful negotiations regarding essential worker benefits and working conditions. UNAC/UHCP emphasized that while striking is viewed as a last resort, it has become necessary to advocate for both their members and the patients they serve. The union's demands consist of safe staffing levels, fair wages, retirement security, and dignity for caregivers and patients. "Kaiser has resisted," the statement said. "But we are united.
