France: Theft Sparks Mass Evacuation At Louvre During Confirmed Robbery
Paris, France - October 19, 2025 A video filmed by X user Raspoutine on October 19, 2025, shows a large-scale evacuation inside the iconic glass pyramid atrium of the Musée du Louvre. Hundreds of tourists in autumn coats, scarves, and backpacks move in orderly streams toward multiple glass exits and baggage claim areas. Yellow-vested staff guide visitors along marked emergency paths beneath the vaulted ceiling. Signs directing people to the museum and emergency routes are clearly visible. Despite the sudden evacuation, no running or visible distress occurs; visitors talk quietly as they leave. The video’s caption read: “Total panic at the Louvre, evacuated urgently. Robbery confirmed by Rachida Dati.” The poster later clarified the evacuation was calm, not panicked, amid reports of a theft incident.
