A massive bridge in Macheng City of central China's Hubei Province, part of the high-speed railway linking Hefei City of east China's Anhui Province and Wuhan City of Hubei, was rotated to its target position on Tuesday. The rotation process lasted 67 minutes, during which the bridge smoothly turned 60 degrees and precisely docked at its target location with millimeter-level accuracy. The successful rotation has removed key obstacles for the ongoing construction of the Hefei-Wuhan high-speed railway project. Once completed, the Hefei-Wuhan high-speed railway is expected to reduce travel time between the two cities from two hours to just one, significantly enhancing the integration and economy growth of the Yangtze River Delta.
