KYIV, UKRAINE - NOV. 3: Ukrainian president said on Monday (Oct. 3) that approximately 20 to 30% of all clashes on the front line have been taking place near the eastern Ukrainian city of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliya Sviridenko, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov, Presidential Office Chief Andriy Yermak, and ministers at his office in the capital, Kyiv and answered reporters’ questions.
During his speech, Zelenskyy stressed that the heaviest fighting was concentrated near Pokrovsk city noting the Russian army is continuing its intense attacks with guided air bombs.
Referring to the latest situation in Kupyansk, Zelensky said that clashes are also taking place in the Kharkiv region that around 60 Russian soldiers remained in the city.
The dates for the withdrawal of all Russian soldiers from the city had been set, but for security reasons, they would not disclose this to the public yet, he added.
He pointed out that they had decided to export some weapons produced by Ukraine that two offices will be opened in Berlin and Copenhagen, the capitals of Germany and Denmark, to facilitate arms exports.
Both Russia and Ukraine have stepped up strikes on each other’s energy infrastructure in recent months as winter approaches.
