ISLAMABAD, PAKISTAN - NOVEMBER 11, 2025: At least 12 people were killed and several others injured Thursday in an explosion outside a court complex in Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, according to security sources and local media.

The blast occurred in the parking area of the Judicial Complex. Security sources told Anadolu that the bodies of 12 victims have been taken to a local hospital, and 21 others were transferred for emergency treatment.

Earlier, a police official told Anadolu that a fire had broken out in a car outside the complex, which triggered the explosion.

Local broadcaster Geo News, citing unnamed police officials, reported that the incident was believed to be a suicide attack. Authorities, however, have not publicly confirmed whether a suicide bomber was involved.

Police and emergency teams cordoned off the area and launched an investigation.

Separately, security forces were engaged in an operation against three militants hiding inside a building at Wana Cadet College in northwestern Pakistan, security sources said. About 500 cadets are housed in a hostel on the campus, located away from the building where the militants are holed up in South Waziristan, according to the sources.
