Albuquerque, United States - November 11, 2025 On November 11, Albuquerque Police Department officers responded to a call unlike any other: a suspect on the run with four legs, a snout and a surprisingly good set of wheels. A wild pig had launched into a joyrun through Albuquerque traffic, dodging cars and officers as it sprinted across the streets. After a short but lively foot pursuit, officers safely detained what they humorously described as the “porky perpetrator.” No one was hurt during the chase. The pig is now in safe hands, though officers joked they could not confirm whether it was facing “hog time” or simply a stern talking-to. Police reported that the animal is being held at the Westside Shelter and will be released on its own recognizance. The department thanked officers for their quick response, the public for their patience and the runaway pig for keeping things interesting.
