Phoenix, United States - November 16, 2025 11/16/2025 12:00 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police officers and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a shooting near 38th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard around midnight. According to Phoenix police officers at the scene, they arrived to find two gunshot victims on 38th Avenue, south of Encanto. One male victim, of an unknown age, was transported to a local trauma center in unknown condition. The second victim was pronounced deceased at the scene and has yet to be identified. Officers surrounded a residence that is believed to be related to the shooting, located on the southwest corner of 38th Avenue and Encanto Boulevard. Officers utilized a drone to perform a preliminary search of the residence. Multiple officers were seen entering the home with guns drawn following the drone search. Officers exited the home a short time later and declared the structure clear and secure. Multiple people have been detained for investigative purposes. Phoenix Police Homicide Unit detectives have assumed command of the investigation.
