On this day at an auction center in Beijing, hundreds of vehicles including NEVs are on the block. One was sold for nearly 6,000 U.S. dollars. The auction model is a big help for pre-owned car dealers who use it as a source of inventory. [Sound_bite] Hao Zhenli, used car dealer: "I source about 20 used NEVs a month through auctions, an increase of 30 to 40 percent compared to previous years." [Voice_over] Those in the industry say conducting auctions both online and off has boosted their transaction volumes. [Sound_bite] Song Lei, general manager, Beijing-based auto auction service center: "Currently, over 95 percent of auctions are conducted simultaneously online and offline. In the first three quarters of this year, the transaction volume for used NEVs surged 180 percent year on year, with prices generally ranging between 4,000 and 11,000 U.S. dollars."
