The demonstrators protested against operations targeting immigrants conducted by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP), and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials.
Protesters demanded an end to ICE raids and border patrols in Charlotte.
In the Charlotte region, where Trump administration has dubbed its effort “Charlotte’s Web,” agents have made more than 200 arrests over the past week, a DHS official told CBS News, adding the operation is expected to wind down in the coming days.
