VARIOUS OF PEOPLE BEING EVACUATED / SOME PERSONAL BELONGINGS BEING CARRIED TO VEHICLE TUGUEGARAO, PHILIPPINES - NOVEMBER 27: Authorities in the northern Philippines have begun evacuating residents as Typhoon Verbena —also known as Typhoon Koto — approaches, bringing the threat of heavy rain, strong winds and potential flooding.

According to a post by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on its social-media account, 74 people living in high-risk zones of Tuguegarao City, in Cagayan province, were moved to safer areas ahead of rising flood and wind threats.

The evacuation comes amid growing concern over the impact of Verbena, which the state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) has slotted among the 2–3 tropical systems expected through November.
