ATHENS, GREECE - DEC. 2: Taxi drivers in Athens, the capital of Greece, went on a 48-hour strike, staged a protest in front of the Ministry of Transport, on Tuesday (Dec. 2).

The strike began at 6:00 a.m. local time, on the call of the Attica Region Taxi Drivers' Union (SATA), and will result in no taxi service in the region until 6:00 a.m. local time on Thursday.

The taxi drivers traveled in convoy from central Athens to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport building to convey their demands, including reduced taxes, the right for taxis to use the bus lane, and the introduction of legal regulations for digital applications that compete with taxis.
