Cape Canaveral, United States - December 03, 2025 SpaceX added 29 new Starlink satellites to low Earth orbit on Tuesday, December 2, using a Falcon 9 that launched from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station at 5:18 p.m. ET. The satellites were deployed successfully exactly 1 hour and 5 minutes after liftoff. The rocket’s first stage, Booster 1077, returned to Earth and landed on the droneship “A Shortfall of Gravitas” in the Atlantic Ocean. This marked the booster’s 25th flight and its 18th Starlink mission, following previous launches including Inmarsat 16-52, Crew 5, Intelsat G-37, TD7, GPS III Space Vehicle 6, CRS-28, and NG-20. This launch capped SpaceX’s third Starlink mission in the first two days of December. The first took place on Monday, December 1, when a Falcon 9 lifted off at 2:44 a.m. ET from Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center, deploying 29 satellites to low Earth orbit. Its first stage landed on the droneship “Just Read the Instructions” 8 minutes and 25 seconds after liftoff, with deployment occurring 1 hour, 4 minutes, and 55 seconds after launch. The second launch of the month followed at 12:28 a.m. ET on Tuesday from Space Launch Complex 4 East at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. This Falcon 9 delivered 27 satellites to orbit 1 hour, 1 minute, and 52 seconds after liftoff. The booster, on its 20th flight, landed on the droneship “Of Course I Still Love You” in the Pacific Ocean. SpaceX noted that sonic booms may have been heard in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties depending on weather conditions. Additional Starlink missions are scheduled from December 4 through 10, including another launch tomorrow carrying 28 satellites, with a webcast beginning five minutes before liftoff on the company’s website and X channels.
