Exclusive- How electricians secretly test a fuse in seconds! Video garnered over 5 million views
An Instagram video has gone viral after demonstrating a quick hack electricians use to test a fuse using just a smartphone. The clip, posted by @creationsparkdiy, has now reached 5.2 million views.
The method relies on a smartphone’s capacitive touchscreen technology, which detects electrical conductivity from a finger. By holding one end of the fuse between bare fingers and tapping the other end onto the phone’s calculator or dial pad, users can instantly check if the fuse is intact.
If the screen registers a number or beep, the fuse is conducting properly. If there’s no response, the fuse is blown.
