Tokayev was welcomed with an official ceremony at the Japanese Prime Minister’s Office, known as the Kantei. The ceremony included a moment of silence, the playing of the national anthems of both countries, and a military band performance.
The two leaders greeted the ceremonial guard of honor and later exchanged greetings with invited guests.
No further details regarding the content of the talks were immediately disclosed.
