A cold front has swept into Wuxi County of southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, a city built on hills, bringing a sharp temperature drop and snowfall since Friday. High-altitude areas of the county, including Tianyuan Town and the Hongchiba scenic area, were shrouded in snow on Saturday morning, with the outlines of mountain ridges fading behind the veil of snow. According to the local meteorological authority, areas above 1,200 meters in Wuxi County experienced snowfall starting Friday night, with sleet or light snow continuing in high-altitude zones into Saturday night.
