PERSEID METEOR SHOWER 9 AUGUST 2016
As Always I set my camera up last night just before darkness in hope of catching something in the night sky and with the on going Perseid Meteor shower I new chances where good.
This Meteor shower was one of favorites due to the amount it produces on peak night and before and after the peak.
Over the last week I have been clouded out each night and only getting cloud on camera but looking at the cloud forecast today on charts it looked good for some clear spells over the morning hours which is the best time to catch the meteors just before dawn where brighter fireballs are possible also.
The Perseid meteor shower can be seen in the Northern Hemisphere. Look between the radiant, which will be in the north-east part of the sky and the zenith (the point in sky directly above you).
On this night I only had one camera going the Canon 1200d which works well time lapsing the night sky.
This Timelapse was took From Ballyshannon Co.Donegal, Ireland on the morning hours of Monday 9th of August 2016 between 12:00am and 2:30am.
I have slowed down dome of the clips at the end to show the meteors in a slower motion and real time which you will find at the start of the timelapse.
