Houston, United States - December 09, 2025 Station 1 of the Houston Fire Department welcomed families for a festive evening filled with food, gifts, and holiday cheer. Santa Claus made a dramatic entrance, arriving in the apparatus bay on Engine 8113 with lights, smoke, and the iconic theme from “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly,” thrilling children and adults alike. The celebration continued a beloved tradition: every family left with a handmade department ornament. HBF families and Auxiliary groups have crafted these ornaments over the years, each preserving a piece of the department’s history. The tree at Station 1 is covered with these ornaments, including one dating back to 1989. For public safety families, moments like these are especially meaningful, offering joy, community, and cherished holiday traditions.
