Shimla, India - December 23, 2025 A doctor assaults a patient at the Indian government-run Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), in the Himachal Pradesh province city of Shimla, sparking public outrage. The patient was suffering from breathing difficulties and had been resting after an endoscopy at the time of the incident. The patient alleged that the doctor spoke rudely, leading to a verbal argument that turned physical.
