This is the moment a group of men staged a naked protest at a university to draw attention to social issues.

Footage captured by Joan Galila shows members of the Alpha Phi Omega (APO) fraternity standing on the steps of the University of the Philippines Manila while holding protest placards.

The activists, wearing black headgear and metallic blue and gold masks, posed for pictures as an upbeat drum corps played in the background on December 16.

Joan said: 'My partner is a member of Alpha Phi Omega and it is their centennial anniversary. It was fun.'

The event coincided with the fraternity's centennial anniversary, marking 100 years of service and activism.

The 'Oblation Run' is an annual event held at the University of the Philippines where students run naked around the campus to protest issues or express freedom.

Today's runs protest various national issues like government corruption, workers' rights, tuition hikes, reproductive health policy, or even localised campus concerns.
