UNCAPTIONED: Prosecutor Email Said Trump Flew on Epstein Jet Eight Times in the 1990s
Prosecutor Email Said Trump Flew on Epstein Jet Eight Times in the 1990s. Newly released Justice Department documents included an email from a New York prosecutor stating that Donald Trump flew on Jeffrey Epstein’s private jet eight times during the 1990s. The January 2020 email said flight records showed Trump traveled on Epstein’s plane more often than previously reported, including at least four flights with Ghislaine Maxwell onboard. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year prison sentence for helping Epstein sexually abuse underage girls. The prosecutor’s email did not allege Trump committed any crime, and the White House did not immediately comment on the disclosure. In 2024, Trump publicly said he was never on Epstein’s plane or at his private island, statements that appeared to conflict with the newly released flight-record summary. The Justice Department said some claims in the files were unfounded or unverified but released the documents in compliance with a new transparency law. The latest release included around 30,000 pages of records and multiple videos, many heavily redacted to protect victims’ identities. The disclosures reignited political controversy, with lawmakers and victims’ advocates criticizing both the scope of the redactions and the handling of the Epstein files.
