Israel - December 25, 2025 The Israel Defense Forces reported that two drones were intercepted after attempting to cross into Israeli territory from Egypt. According to the military, IDF surveillance units and the Air Force’s air control center detected the drones approaching the border from the west. An Israeli Air Force attack helicopter, operating in coordination with Division 80, intercepted both drones as they entered Israeli airspace. A senior Air Force official said the incident marked the first time an attack helicopter had been used to intercept multiple drones in this manner. The IDF stated that it continues to enhance coordination and operational capabilities to counter aerial threats and prevent smuggling attempts along the border.
