No severe disasters nor damages occurred amid the earthquake in Yilan County due to the relatively deep focal depth, according to local authorities in China's Taiwan region. The 6.6-magnitude earthquake hit the waters off Yilan County, Taiwan, at 23:05 Saturday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC). The epicenter was reported at 24.67 degrees north latitude and 122.06 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 60 km, the CENC said. Local authorities issued alerts warning of possible aftershocks and urged residents to evacuate immediately if they found structural damage to their homes. No reports of casualties or property damage have been released so far. Affected rail services have resumed, and no trains or flights were delayed or canceled on Sunday morning.
