MILAN, ITALY - JANUARY 6, 2026: Milan’s traditional Three Wise Men parade, a celebration dating back to 1336, was held on January 6, marking the Epiphany.

According to historical sources, the relics of the Three Wise Men were brought from Constantinople to Milan, where they remained for eight centuries before being taken to Germany by Emperor Frederick Barbarossa.

This year’s parade featured the Three Kings, the Civic Band, and dozens of participants dressed in historical costumes, including civic and religious figures. The procession began at Piazza Duomo and wound through Via Torino to the Colonne di San Lorenzo, where, at noon, a traditional reenactment depicted the Three Wise Men meeting King Herod.

The procession then continued to the Basilica of Sant’Eustorgio, where the Three Kings offered their gifts to the Holy Family in the churchyard, concluding one of Milan’s oldest religious traditions.
