Goretti Storm devastation in it's wake, business and apartments wrecked.

The red wind warning for Cornwall started at 16:00 GMT and ended at 23:00. Storm Garetti left devastation, High end apartments see plate glass smashed and businesses are particularly affected. with complete devastation to some, a high street office is seen open to the elements. Exceptionally strong winds cause damage to buildings and homes and brought down trees extensively.
These damaging winds travelled to parts of Cornwall, the Channel Islands and northern France.
Gusts of 99mph were reached at St Mary's Airport on the Isles of Scilly, the Met Office said.
Two emergency alerts were sent to the mobile phones of approximately 500,000 people in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to warn them about the hazardous conditions.
In many places, it seems the winds have passed their peak.
Overnight, gusts reached 99 mph in the South West of England.
