China: Stray Chinese cat clings to stair railing in fear
Jiangsu, China - December 25, 2025 On December 26, 2025, in Jiangsu Province, located in eastern China, a video showed a stray black cat startled at the entrance of a stairwell. When the filmer approached with a pet in arms, the stray panicked. It scrambled upward and latched onto the metal railing with both paws wedged tightly between the bars. The cat froze in place, unable to move up or down. Its wide-eyed expression made the scene both humorous and adorable as it waited for the humans to leave. Once the filmer stepped back, the frightened cat prepared to make its escape.
