A Christmas surprise from a devoted stepfather has captured more than 9 million views on Instagram, after Heather Speed posted a video of her husband gifting their daughter her first truck.

The clip shows Brandon, who has been in Emmalyn’s life since she was three, presenting her with a 2004 Toyota Tacoma — affectionately dubbed the “Taco”. Brandon formally became her stepfather in 2021, after Emmalyn asked him to adopt her.

In the video, Emmalyn jokes that she “couldn’t cry” because she had just applied self‑tan and didn’t want streaks running down her face.

The man who stepped in and stepped up when was 3 bought her very first truck for Christmas. She received a 2004 Toyota Tacoma aka TACO. Brandon has been in Emmalyn’s life since 2014 and she asked him to officially adopt her in 2021. She states in the video that she had just self tanned so she wasn’t able to cry because she would streak her face. She has officially, since this video, pinked out the inside of the Tacoma and is looking forward to many years of driving it.
