A deeply emotional family moment has gone viral after a man was reunited with the memorial wedding ring he thought he had lost forever. The video, posted by @lilysmart07 on TikTok, has now surpassed five million views.

The ring, which he had created by melting his late wife’s wedding band into his own, was lost two years ago on a relative’s farm. After searching everywhere, the family believed it was gone for good — until two weeks ago, when Lily's aunt spotted a small sparkle near the firewood by a bonfire the family lights regularly.

They kept the discovery a secret and surprised him with the ring on Christmas Eve, prompting him to cry tears of joy as he immediately slipped it back onto his finger.

His granddaughter wrote, “This is what love looks like,” explaining that her pa lost his wife in 2017 and had worn the combined ring so he would “never be without her.”

Soo. after he ended up living out at my uncles before he had a stroke and whilst living there he worked on the farm a lot, and one day lost the wedding rings in the process of work. We searched everywhere for two years for the rings, even pulled out metal detectors, nobody could find it. Until two weeks ago my aunty was out clesning her bonfire area and noticed something sparkle at the very bottom of the fire (that they ligjt all the time) on a piece of fire wood. There it was. We all had to keep it a secret for 2 weeks until family Christmas Eve dinner which is when we gifted to him and this was the reaction video
