The alert led to flight and train disruptions in several cities, including Amsterdam.

Authorities urged residents to exercise caution and avoid travel unless necessary due to reduced visibility and difficult road conditions.

Snow accumulated on streets, vehicles, bicycles and public spaces while residents engaged in outdoor winter activities.
