China: Chinese dog slips into river after losing focus on stepping stones
Shanxi, China - January 01, 2026 On January 2, 2026, in Shanxi Province, located in northern China, a video showed a dog walking with its owner across a line of stepping stones placed along a shallow river. At first, the dog jumped nimbly from one stone to the next. Midway through, it became distracted by something in the distance and misjudged its next step. With a sudden splash, the dog fell into the cold water below. The owner burst into laughter as the surprised dog quickly climbed out. Covered in water, the dog shook off the droplets and pretended nothing had happened, glancing away as if to hide its embarrassment. The moment was both funny and endearing.
