In the sports comedy-drama, the recent Golden Globe winner plays an outspoken and overconfident table tennis champion who hustles and swindles to make money to travel to ping pong championships. During a Q&A with Robert Downey Jr. in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Chalamet recalled Marty's heated exchange with a man at a motel, played by a non-professional. "I won't say who, but in that motel sequence, there are a lot of non-actors... that I find it really thrilling to work with, but sometimes it would take multiple takes to really get something out of them...."
