Los Angeles, United States - January 19, 2026 01/18/2026 11:00 pm GMT-0800 FLORENCE, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department's 77th Street Division were involved in a crash with a civilian vehicle at the intersection of Florence and Broadway. The officers issued an "officer needs help" call, indicating they were involved in a collision, and they requested two ambulances from the Los Angeles Fire Department. The LAFD dispatched an ambulance for a male in his twenties, believed to be an officer, and one for the civilian driver of the KIA vehicle involved in the crash. A witness stated that the officers ran a red light and were not using their lights or sirens at the time of the incident. However, this information has not been confirmed. At this time, it does not appear that LAFD paramedics transported anyone to the hospital. The intersection was closed for an unspecified duration while the LAPD South Traffic Division investigated the incident.
