I am the owner of a 2015 Toyota Tundra,I work in the construction Industry.My profession requires I travel to get to and from the job site,sometimes busses are available but on this job there is no bussing.After work on Auguet 29,2015 @ 5:35 pm I left the parking lott of Redwater Agrium Plant.Proceeded North on Hwy 643 to stop sign @ hwy28A.I proceeded south on hwy28a passing the Lovely town of Gibbons Aberta proceeding at a speed of not more than 80 klm/hr.As I proceeded toward the main or 50th St. of the Town of Gibbons a vehicle was stopped and appeared to be waiting to turn on to the hwy.I got closer and the driver of that truck started forward then hesitated then moved forward and by this time I could see his face and there was no time,foe I knew I would Hit his door and at the last second I veered to the left missing his door,then BANG impact knocked the wind out of me,knocked me out for a few seconds.I opened my eyes,there was dust,I was rolling still and thought I would be hit again.I come to a stop,looked around to see air bags allaround me.I smelled smoke was disorientated and in pain but managed to find the door handle reach for the seat release.The door opened,I fell out of the truck to the ground in the tall grasses on the side of the hwy.I stood up stricken with pain wincing I doubled over and fell to the ground and hoped help would arive.Within a few minutes witch seemed a lot longer,an off duty nurse and profesional military person were asisting me advising me to stay still asking me questions to keep me cohearant as to se if I responded properly to my situation.I answered the questions resposibly and waited for EMT and parametic to arive.I was placed on a back board,straped down as not to move my head or legs.I was given an IV.I refused pain meds,there was some confusion as to where I would be transported.While all this was taking place Fire and rescue and another ambulance and RCMP had arrived.The off duty nurse had been an the phone with my wife to inform her of my condition and where I was to be transported.When we arived at the Hosp.They performed 15 x-rays and acat scan found no broken bones.Dr`s prognosis- (I would hurt like hell tomorrow and would take a long time to heal.Gave me perscription for pain I was home by Ten pm.WOW
