Destroyed by the icy stairs
Portland, Oregon is at sea level so it rarely snows here. We were lucky enough to get an inch of snow this past January and Mark Briggles decided to make the most of the snowstorm. He had been thinking about sliding this long handrail in Washington Park on skis for several years and now finally had the opportunity. Unfortunately, after dozens of tries, Mark ended up riding down the icy stairs and got banged up by the support rails and had to call it a day. Mark hopes that next year it snows again so he can try one more time to conquer this beast of a rail.
