Cool footage has emerged from China of the country's first suspension railway completing its test run.

The video, filmed in Chengdu, Sichuan Province last Friday, shows the battery-powered monorail hanging from the track.

It is reportedly the world's first battery-powered suspension railway, running on lithium batteries which can last for up to four hours.

It can travels at speeds of up to 60 km/h and can hold 120 passengers per coach.

The monorail will now undergo further tests before being rolled out as an official means of public transport.
