A cool video has emerged of a man showing how to create an environmentally friendly jack-o'-lantern using solar lights.

The video, shot on Monday in Kansas, shows the man carving three holes at the top of his jack-o'-lantern to insert the solar lights.

The pumpkin appears perfectly lit and his invention earned him the first individual prize in a charity pumpkin carving contest for the "Make A Wish" foundation.

How to cheaply and easily turn almost any "Jack-o-lantern" into a renewable solar powered biodegradable porch light...(tee-hee)
with the use of inexpensive solar stake lights...

DON'T forget, hang on to the shaft and stake parts of your solar light! they will come in handy when your pumpkin rots...

There's an odd story to this video:
Basically on October 31 of 1998, (18-years)I woke up with a Migraine, that has literally never stopped, it's like a perpetual roller coaster, it goes up, and down, but it never stops. The pain goes from manageable to causing blackouts, ( I think another word for them other than chronic/acute is "Intractable")...
Basically from then on I did zilch for Halloween, not even a pumpkin was touched.
That is until I shared my story and 3rd year anniversary of my comic strip "Eating Crow" on the Facebook page of Wichita art museum, after that I was contacted by a member of AIGA about a charity pumpkin carving contest for "Make A Wish" foundation, and they needed "local" creative talent to participate. , Understanding what those kids go through, I hoped I could help, and the solar powered pumpkin grew out of that... I was even shocked to receive 1st individual prize for my entry...
Anyway.
After that I decided to show "DIY" how people could make their own Solar powered pumpkins.... which brings me here...
