Firework explodes in volunteer’s face
This shocking video shows the moment a young man fell to the floor after being struck in the face by an exploding firework. Ollie Griffen, 26, had to be rushed to hospital after being hit by the firework, which hit him in his face after failing to fire on cue. It happened after Saturday night's damp conditions forced the display team which he was helping to light the pyrnotechnics manually instead of electronically. The 20-minute fireworks display in Ely, Cambs, was immediatly brought to an early end 12 minutes in as fellow colleagues ran to Ollie's aid. Thankfully he was wearing a protective suit which saved him for suffering much more serious injuries.
