A cool video has emerged of a traveller showing how he packed for his 12 month trip.

In the footage, shot in Bankok, Thailand late last month, Jacob Blaukaitis reviews the essential items he will take on his year-long trip across Asia.

He is able to fit these items, which include only six t-shirts, two pairs of trousers and two pairs of shorts, into one single back pack.

"Since I've had quite a lot of experience packing light, I decided to make this video and share my tips and advices with other people," he wrote online.

"The golden rule of packing is: 'Think about what's the worst thing that could happen if you didn't have this item. If it's not too bad, don't take it'," he added.

The 22-year-old entrepreneur has already traveller to over 50 countries around the world.

I've been traveling the world for the past 3 years and literally everything I owned in my life fit into a small travel back-pack.
