惠城区下角一名2岁男童想拿娃娃机里的娃娃而不得，突发奇想，从出口处（娃娃机的出货口）爬入。不料，事与愿违，被卡于机内不能动弹，还呼呼大睡起来。幸亏，有消防部门及时营救，男童并无大碍。
事情发生于12月12日晚9时许，据前去救援的消防官兵介绍，前去救援的是惠城区消防大队下角中队，事发于下角黄记购物商场对面的娃娃机。消防官兵说，该中队接到警情后，迅速出动一辆抢险救援车六名指战员赶赴现场。到场后发现一名老人蹲在娃娃机前并用手一直撑着娃娃机出口的格挡板。经了解，被困的是一名大约2岁的小孩，而老人是他的亲属，小孩因玩娃娃机发现里面的娃娃总是夹不到，突发奇想，从娃娃机的出口爬进去，想从里面获取娃娃。
男童进去才知道里面“上不去”，想出来时才发现自己已经是娃娃机的“食物”了。小孩出不来，就在里面睡大觉。
了解情况后，消防员从娃娃机上面出口进行破拆，在救援过程中一边安慰小孩，一边进行破拆。经过三分钟跟娃娃机的“奋勇搏斗”，将娃娃机上面和出口的挡板破拆掉，终于从“虎口”中把这个小孩成功救出来了，被救出来的那一瞬间，小孩竟大哭起来了。经现场简单检查，孩子仅受到惊吓，身体并无大碍。
