A dramatic video has emerged from China of a car crashing into a government building used for things like marriage ceremonies.

The CCTV footage, captured in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province on January 5, shows the vehicle speeding up the steps and into the foyer of the "Civil Affairs Bureau", leaving glass shattered all over the place.

According to reports, the man in the car was ordered to attend divorce proceedings at the building and allegedly drove there after drinking.

Once the proceedings were done and dusted, the man allegedly then drove his car into the entrance, prompting his arrest by police.

The CCTV video, captured in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province on January 5, shows a car speeding into the steps and flying into the hall of the civil affairs bureau.

The glass door is destroyed and the pieces of glass scatter all over the floor. Then, a man rolls down from the car.

According to local reports, the man named Lijing was called by his wife to do divorce procedure in civil affairs bureau. So he drove there after drinking.

After they finished all procedure, Li was angry and regretted, so he stepped onto the accelerator and smashed into the hall.

Li was injured and arrested by police.
