Woman saves dog from freezing pond
A cafe worker described the dramatic moment a woman plunged into an icy lake to rescue her dog. Sultan Olgun, 23, was working on the till in the nearby cafe when the woman came in to buy coffee. But when her dog fell through the ice on the frozen boating lake at Alexandra Palace, North London, the woman ran outside in a panic. Video shows the unknown woman, who is thought to be in her twenties, taking off her coat, shoes and socks before getting into a buoyancy ring and plunging into the water. The woman spent more than five minutes in the freezing water before bringing the hauling her dog to safety.
