Footage has emerged from China of a women-only priority train carriage designed to encourage people to respect women during rush hour in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.

The video, filmed on June 26, shows a train pulling into a busy station, with stickers on some of the carriages explaining that the carriages are for women.

Men are allowed on the carriages but they have to give priority to women.

Footage has emerged of tube carriages set for lady first trailing on southern China's tube.

The video, filmed in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province on June 26, shows the pink labels with 'Priority Carriage for Women' stuck on the doors of the first and last carriages on train.

The aim to set the train carriages for women is to advocate caring and respecting them.

It advised males to give priorities to females to board the train during peak time, but men can also board the carriages when it is not busy or they are with their female friends.
