A robot was used to disinfect and check commuters' temperatures at a railway station in northern China.

The video, shot in the city of Shenyang in Liaoning Province on March 1, shows a robot moving around in a waiting hall spraying disinfectant and reading out a passenger's temperature at Shenyang North Railway Station.

According to reports, the robot transformed the disinfectant liquid into a mist which was used to disinfect the waiting hall.

The robot also has cameras on its body to check passengers' temperatures. When passengers walk pass the robot, it will read out their temperatures.

身材小巧、长相呆萌，在候车大厅里自由行走，还不断地“吞云吐雾”。它的名字叫“守望者”，是一台站区消杀机器人，身后配有一个小水箱，雾气就是从这里喷洒出来的。
沈阳站沈北客运车间值班站长 陶岩：消毒水是我们正常配的，按比例配的84消毒片，然后配到水里，然后它转化成喷雾，在候车室里进行消杀。它这个主要的方便点就是比较机动、灵活，而且随时随地都可以，像我们人工消杀就得定时、定点、定区域。

为了增强消杀效果，后台工作人员会结合候车大厅旅客的出行路线，利用大数据科学规划出机器人的行走路线，保证需要消毒的区域全覆盖。除了环境消杀，这台拥有聪明大脑的小家伙，还有另外一个功能。
它这个机器人身上有很多摄像头、监控点，在它消杀作业的过程中，同时消杀作业还能监控旅客的温度，而且它监控到旅客温度的同时会报出旅客的体温。在它身边经过的旅客，或者它巡视的时候能扫描到坐着的旅客，都会报出体温数。
