A dramatic security camera video has emerged from China showing the moment panic spread through an underground train carriage causing a stampede.

In the clip, which was filmed in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province on August 13, hundreds of commuters suddenly sprint out of the packed train a station.

According to authorities, the stampede was caused when one man - circled in red in the video - ran off the train and the rest of the passengers panicked and followed.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Local media reported that the man who first ran off the train did so simply because he was "in a hurry."

Dramatic footage, from China, of more than 600 passengers running out of the tube carriage as a man suddenly starts to run causing the panic.

The CCTV video, captured in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province on August 13, shows a group of commuters suddenly running out of the tube carriage together.

Since a 20s man started to run all of a sudden when he got off the train, other passengers thought something happened and followed him to evacuate the train.

More than 600 passengers were evacuated in order in only three minutes and no one was injured.
