I took my paddle board to enjoy the ocean on a beautiful sunny morning, at Nobby's beach, Gold Coast.
I went to the shark net, which is around 800m offshore.
I saw, around 3OOm from me, a pod of whales, so I started to paddle to them.
When I was close to them, I stopped and I started to film with my GoPro.
Suddenly they came straight to me, the 2 biggest swam next to me and the baby under my board! He moved me a bit then looked at me in the eye. That was incredible.
A drone was filming above me, so when I came back to the shore I looked for the owner of the drone.
I found him and he was happy to share with me his videos.
I mixed everything in a video created with iMovie to share this special moment.
