Footage has emerged of a 3084.32-metre-long single-strand noodle made by staff from Xiangnian Food Co., Ltd creating Guinness World Records of the longest noodle.

The video, shot in Nanyang City in central China's Henan Province on October 28, shows several staff using 40-kilogram flour to pour the single-strand noodle to challenge the world record.

After that, the 3084.32-metre-long noodle is cooked and served to 99 longevous elders.

It was Double Ninth Festival on that day, which is a traditional Chinese holiday for senior citizens.

The long noodle means longevity in Chinese culture, which gave the best wishes to the elders.

The length of the single-strand noodle beat the record of 548.7 metres created by a Japanese in 2007 becoming the world longest noodle.
